Stockholm, Sweden-based Teleca said it had hired 15 new staff to work at Teleca Korea to provide software development and systems integration services for mobile devices and consumer electronics, as well as acting as a reseller of the company’s bespoke application AU Mobile Suite, which it claims has been implemented into over 100 handsets in the Korean market.
Teleca claims that it made $4.5m in revenue in the Korean market in 2002 from its current 12 customers, and said it had received orders during the fourth quarter of the year valued at $8m for new research and development, system integration and software license fees in the Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese and Thai markets.
