The deal was initiated by Benima – the industrial IT and automation business unit of Teleca Group. Under terms of the transaction Benima will get 80% of Lentech’s shares and will hold an option to purchase the remainder.

Lentech, which has around 10 staff and strengths in the pharmaceutical and brewery sectors, which will be integrated into Benima’s Copenhagen and Randers operations from January.

Benima has around 500 employees and bills itself as the largest independent consulting firm for industrial IT and automation. Lentech is its second major buy this year. In April it acquired NewCon A/S as part of its ongoing strategy to bolster its consultancy reach in Europe.

The size of the acquisition is expected to have a limited impact on Teleca’s profits.

Teleca Group is quoted on the Stockholm stock exchange and employs over 3,000 people across 15 countries in Europe, Asia and the US.

Teleca’s group revenues grew 17% last year to SEK 2,456m.
