Danish telecommunications company Tele Danmark A/S has reported solid results for the first half of 1997 with revenue increasing 17.5% to DKK12.84bn ($1.88bn). Net income for the period rose 19% to DKK1.59bn ($232.3m), excluding the costs associated with an early retirement agreement reached with Belgacom employees. Including the severance payments, net incomefor the six months dropped 20% to DKK1.07bn ($156.3m), or DKK$8.15 per share. Domestic revenue rose 4.5% in the half, while international revenues more than doubled to DKK2.73bn.
