The 51.7% Danish state owned telecommunications company Tele Danmark AS plans to aggressively expand its operations outside of Denmark, Reuters reports. Managing Director, Hans Wurtzen, says that plans for further acquisitions in Germany are in place, following Tele Danmark’s acquisition of mobile phone operator Talkline GmbH for $328m last June (CI No 3,182). The company also plans to buy more stock in the Czech Republic’s Ceske Radiokomunikace telecommunications provider, which will increase its current 20.8% holding to a maximum 45% this year.
