Swedish new carrier Tele1 Europe AB has paid an undisclosed sum for Stockholm-based business ISP WinEasy AB. Tele1 is a facilities-based operator, also headquartered in Stockholm, with operations in Norway, Denmark and Finland as well as its home country. It offers fixed and mobile voice, as well as data and value-added services, to large and medium-sized companies in those countries. The company plans to float in the first half of next year (NBD 10/08/99).
This is the fourth ISP that Tele1 has acquired this year. In October it bought a Danish
Company, Euroconnect A/S (NBD 10/07/99). Its previous acquisitions were Businessnet A/S, a small Danish ISP, and Clinet Oy, a leading Finnish provider to the enterprise market.
