TELCOM NEW ZEALAND PLANS TO REDUCE CAPITAL SPENDING

Telecom New Zealand says it plans to save $322m over the next three years by reducing its capital expenditure. The Financial Times says shareholders will start to see the savings in the second half, when controlling shareholders Bell Atlantic Corp and Ameritech Corp have facilitated the changes.
