Telco and mobile bundles: Best Sky and BT Black Friday deals

Apple, BT and others have already announced Black Friday deals including handsets and broadband bundles.

Black Friday is as good a time as any to have a look for the best telecoms bundles you can find. CBR looks at some of the deals that have been announced and some to expect nearer the date.

 

Apple

Apple skipped Black Friday in 2015, but this year the electronics maker has already announced it is taking part through a trademark teaser page.

Black FridayAlthough the page does not specify what discounts will be available, it does say that the offers will be available only on Friday 25 November.

As well as offering an app for potential customers, Apple has said that there will be extended opening hours in its high street stores.

Apple will also offer free next-day delivery on in-stock orders over £40 if customers order by 7 pm.

For those who can’t wait until Friday, the upfront cost on a bundle including the iPhone 6S has been discounted by £200 at Carphone Warehouse. Argos has slashed the iPhone 6S from £539 to £479.

BT

BT is offering a range of deals on products including broadband, TV and mobile.

BT Broadband with unlimited UK weekend calls is offered for £22.99 per month and £9.99 upfront, while the BT Infinity service with unlimited weekend calls is available for £27.99 per month and £59.99 upfront.

bt-logoThese packages will provide annual savings of £120 and £144 respectively. All prices include line rental.

The BT TV Entertainment Starter package is available to Infinity customers for £2 extra per month.

Meanwhile, on mobile, BT Broadband customers will be able to get 3GB with 500 minutes and unlimited texts for £8 per month or 20GB with unlimited texts and minutes for £15 per month.

There are also handset deals, with £5 a month off on selected handsets such as the iPhone 7, Galaxy A3 and Sony Xperia X.

 

 

Sky/LG

LG’s partnership with Sky will give a free year of Sky Q to anybody who buys certain 4K LG TVs.

sky-qLG’s 2016 OLED models including the G6, E6, C6 and B6 will come with 12 months access to Sky Q and a Sky Q multiscreen subscription. Existing Sky customers will just receive a 12-month Sky multiscreen subscription.

LG’s UH950V, UH850V or UH770 series will receive a 6-month Sky Q Original bundle and multiscreen subscription.

Customers of the offer will receive the Sky Q Silver 2GB box.

 

 

Amazon

From the mobile side, Amazon is already offering a number of discounts on smartphones on its site.

amazon-black-fridayThe LG G5 has been slashed in price from £429.99 to £396.89.

Devices such as the Elephone P9000 are also being discounted, although details are not available at the time of writing.

There are accessories such as screen protectors from Huawei and cases for devices such as iPhones and Samsung Galaxy S7s.

 

Motorola

Motorola has slashed prices on several of its smartphones.

The Moto Z and Moto Z Play have freebies thrown in: a £59.99 power bank for the Moto Z and a £69.98 speaker for the Moto Z Play, with free shipping on each.

The Moto G4 Plus is slashed £20 to £209 and the Moto G4 and G4 Play are both £10 cheaper at £159 and £119.98 respectively.

The Moto X Force is £50 cheaper with a free premium back cover worth £20, clocking in at £479.

The Moto X Style is £309, £40 cheaper, with the back cover thrown in.

The Moto 360 watch is £218.99 with free shipping, a £20 discount.

 

Other vendors

ee-black-fridayMobile providers such as O2, Three, Vodafone and Carphone Warehouse have already announced that they will be offering Black Friday deals. The offers are expected to appear on their sites nearer the date.

Providers such as TalkTalk and Plusnet also usually offer deals on Black Friday on broadband packages.
