Tektronix Inc said in its annual report that it expects to spend essentially the same on research and development in fiscal 1995 as fiscal 1994, when it spent $153.1m: it does not expect to show significant reductions in selling, general and administrative expenses in the current fiscal year, which began June 1; last year those costs were $364.5m, a reduction of 7.9% from year-earlier levels as the result of a major restructuring; its restructuring is nearly complete, although it plans some further workforce reductions, for which it believes it has taken reserves enough; it believes it will substantially complete its programme of divesting non-core units in 1995.
