Electronics and semiconductor testing equipment maker Tektronix’s communications subsidiary Tektronix Communications has acquired Arantech, a provider of Customer Experience Management solutions for wireless communications providers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According toTektronix, Arantech will continue to operate under its own brand as a standalone business within its Network Intelligence Solutions division, and will retain its sales and services, R&D, marketing, and product development operations.
Rich McBee, president at Tektronix Communications, said: Addressing customer experience gap is critical in Arantech strategy. The two companies will offer customer experience management and monitoring servcies. By optimizing the network from the customer perspective, carriers will be able to build enhanced loyalty, strengthen brand, and increase revenue.
Last year Tektronix Communications joined a global collaborative technology trial initiative to accelerate the availability of commercial and interoperable LTE mobile broadband systems.
Tektronix Communications provides network operators and equipment manufacturers network diagnostics and management services for fixed, mobile, IP and converged multi-service networks. This comprehensive set of services support a range of architectures and applications such as LTE, fixed mobile convergence, IMS, broadband wireless access, WiMAX, VoIP and triple play, including IPTV.
