TECMAR ANNOUNCES EGA MASTER 480 AND EGA MASTER 800

Rexon Inc’s Tecmar Inc unit in Cleveland, Ohio, announced two new graphics boards at Spring Comdex in Atlanta, the EGA Master 480 and the EGA Master 800: the $495 480 displays 640 by 480 pixels in 16 colours and drivers are included to run AutoCAD, GEM, and Microsoft Windows; the $595 Master 800 extends the resolution to 800 by 600 pixels in 16 colours; both run with multiple scanning frequency monitors and use the Genoa Super EGA chip set which provides EGA, CGA, MDA, Hercules and Plantronics capability, and the new IBM PS/2 VGA is supported with BIOS-level compatibility provided by a new software driver which is being shipped with both boards, starting this month.
