Indian IT services provider Tech Mahindra has reported revenue of INR12.11bn ($268.9m) for the third quarter, a marginal increase of 2% compared to INR11.87bn ($263.6m) for the same quarter last year.

The company posted an operating income of INR2.49bn, compared to INR2.81bn for the same quarter last year.

For the quarter ended 31 December 2010, profit after tax was INR2.57bn, compared to INR1.73bn in the same period a year-ago and diluted EPS increased to INR19.73 from INR13.26.

Geographically, Europe accounted for 54% of the total revenue, North America for 32% of total revenue, while rest of the world accounted 14%.

Revenues from offshore increased to 63% compared to 61% year-on-year while onsite revenues decreased to 37% from 39%.

Tech Mahindra chairman Anand Mahindra said the company’s ability to design and deliver customised offerings has enabled them to consolidate their leadership position.

"As the global markets show signs of resurgence, our comprehensive array of service offerings ensure that we are well positioned to rise and meet customer expectations," Mahindra said.
