French IT services company Teamlog SA has paid 16.7m euros ($17.45m) to acquire LM Informatique, a smaller services company operating in similar areas, in order to bolster its presence in the Ile-de-France region in and around Paris.

Teamlog’s areas of expertise are database management systems, telecoms, networking, multimedia, client-server architectures and security. For the year ending 31 March 1999 it reported a net profit up 124%, at 1.7m euros ($1.77m) on revenue which rose 102% at 37.1 euros ($38.7m).

LM Informatique, meanwhile, reported a net profit for 1998 up 175% at 1.1m euros ($1.15m) on revenue that rose 38.4% to 16.3m euros ($17m). Its expertise is in client-server, object oriented programming, networking and telecoms. Both companies are based in Paris.
