TDS CIRCUITS FINDS ITS NEW BUSINESS MODEL KEEPS UP GOOD WORK

By CBR Staff Writer

Celebrating its first anniversary of being back in profit after seven years (CI No 2,878), printed circuit board manufacturer TDS Circuits Plc was able to improve on 1995’s pre-tax profits by 160%, with revenue up 32% to 13m pounds. The Blackburn, Lancashire-based company said this was as a direct result of its decision last fiscal year to focus on a reduced number of major customers in the communications, information technology and contract manufacturing markets, after realizing that it had been spreading its favors too widely. TDS will not be paying a dividend for the period.
