It said TCS Kalinga Park will serve the company’s customers in industry verticals such as banking and financial services, retail, insurance, and government, and will focus on enterprise applications, assurance services, infrastructure services, BPO, and IT services.

The first unit of the facility accommodates 1,000 employees and is now operational. On completion it will house around 7,000 to 10,000 employees. The company said its main focus will be its domestic market from which it generates over $500m of revenue.

However, it is also strengthening its position in China, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, West Asia, and Africa. In November, it opened its global delivery center in Tianjin, focused on BPO operations targeting Japanese, US, and European markets. It also opened an office in Shenzhen to target the South China market.
