TCS, British Airways, team up to launch new IT offering

Expects to provide implementation cost savings for MRO industry

By CBR Staff Writer

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a provider of IT services, business solutions and an outsourcing firm, has partnered with British Airways to launch Swift MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul), a new integrated IT offering.

TCS said that Swift MRO based on the new SAP platform, leverages British Airways’ practice, to increase productivity by minimising manual intervention and increasing process automation through a simplified graphical user interface.

The new integrated IT offering will also provide implementation costs savings compared to competing solutions, owing to the use of TCS’ propriety solution accelerators.

British Airways director of engineering Garry Copeland said that teaming up with TCS, both have created a team that combines MRO industry experience with technology expertise to improve effectiveness of its system.
