TANDY SELLS 25%-30% MORE COMPUTERS THAN IN 4Q 1986

Similar cheer comes out of Tandy Corp, which says that it is selling 25% to 30% more computers this period than in the fourth quarter of 1986, although the dollar volume percentage increase is a bit lower because of price cuts: investor relations director Philip Bradtmiller told analysts that the order trend is likely to remain at the same rate for at least the next six months, although there had been some slowdown in November in everything bar computers and cellphones.
