This week’s UK Press Gazette names the Kyocera-built Tandy Model 200 laptop as still the preferred portable computer among journalists – which is a bit unfortunate because as the magazine was going to press, Tandy was announcing in the US that the machine was to be phased out: the price of the machine in the US has been reduced to $500 from $800 but hurry, hurry – stocks are expected to have run out by year-end.
