TANDON SLASHES PRICES ON PCS

By CBR Staff Writer

In what promises to be a torrid time for the weaker micromakers in the UK market, Tandon Corp has been slashing prices to the point where even Amstrad Plc may have to reconsider tags on its PC2000 line: a 16MHz 80386 machine with 40Mb hard disk is now down to UKP2,000, and the firm cut prices on 20MHz models by up to 27%; its 80286 box is UKP1,000.
