TANDON CHOOSES VIENNA FOR EUROPEAN MANUFACTURING PLANT

By CBR Staff Writer

Tandon Computer Inc has now formally announced that it has chosen a site in Vienna, Austria for its European manufacturing plant, and has begun production there: the company built the plant with about $44m of credit from Dresdner Bank and a Vienna banking consortium, and the company hopes that by mid-1989, the plant will meet 100% of European requirements, which amounted to about 100,000 machines last year.
