TANDEM LAUNCH PROGRAMME TO HELP WOMEN REFRESH AND UPDATE THEIR COMPUTER SKILLS

By CBR Staff Writer

Tandem Computers has launched a programme encouraging women to refresh and update their computer skills: the company says the move is in response to the growing skills shortage, and also to help meet the needs of working mothers; women who are returning to work after maternity leave and have previously attended and paid for a Tandem course may attend the same course at 50% of the current fee; a second option is to attend part of a previously attended course, also at 50% cost; Tandem’s education department is offering two free days in the education centre if a woman has attended a Tandem course.
