Cupertino, California-based Tandem Computers Inc and GTE Data Services Inc of Temple Terrace, Florida have signed a multi-million dollar contract with the PTT Telecom Netherlands to provide computer systems and application software for a new itemised billing service; also, Tandem Telecommunications Systems Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tandem Computers, and PTT Telecom Netherlands, have signed a contract for TTSI-NET Products in establishing two Intelligent Network Centres; Telecom Netherlands plans to use Tandem NonStop Cyclone and NonStop CLX computers; GTE Data Services will provide software, installation and services over a two-year period and it will customise its Universal Measured Service software for the billing service; under the terms of the agreement, Telecom will implement the TSCE-1000 service creation environment, along with the TSCP-1000 service control point and the TSMS-1000 service management system; all of the TTSI-NET products are based on Tandem’s NonStop CLX 800 system, and it will include three CLX 820 systems and a CLX 860 system.
