TALARIAN FINDS CUSTOM APPS ARE THE CHALLENGE IN EAI

Publish and subscribe company Talarian Corp says its agrees with Software Technologies Corp’s assessment that integrating custom applications is still 90% of the problem users have trying to integrate systems even though the packaged application integration story gets 90% of the press (CI No 3,590). Moreover Talarian says it’s impossible to build a generic GUI tool to do custom application integration even though that is the story being told by most of the EAI vendors. We believe you need very easy to use and implement messaging middleware in order to integrate your home-brewed applications. Talarian claims to have seen revenues of around $15m last year.
