Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co’s January sales slid 29.4% year-on-year to around $120m, the company announced yesterday. A company statement said microchip prices and output had yet to recover to the level that peaked in early 1998. In month-on-month terms, January sales represented a 11.2% growth from December, the statement said.
