TAIWAN BECOMES WORLD’S TOP NOTEBOOK MAKER

Taiwan’s notebook computer makers are predicting a 35% growth in sales this year, the China News Agency reported. Initial production figures show Taiwan will probably replace Japan as the world’s top notebook computer maker – if it hasn’t already. Production is expected to be about 6 million, or 40% of global output, this year.
