It’s almost three months since we checked with Taligent Inc about its NT plans and it says it still doesn’t know whether to come out with support for an NT or a Chicago overlay for its kernel: it says it knows doing a 32-bit Microsoft Corp operating system is technically feasible and it’s got a idea what the porting effort would involve; it’s hesitant about NT because it looks as if the mass of independent software vendors are going to Chicago instead, plus it sees its multi-personality kernel initially as a client operating system and NT seems to fail on that count too.
