TADPOLE RESTRUCTURES US DIVISION AND APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT

By CBR Staff Writer

Still dealing with the consequences of the $6m hit it took for the six months ending March 31 (CI No 2,632), Cambridge, UK-based notebook manufacturer Tadpole Technology Plc has restructured its US operation and appointed Randy Burns as president. The Austin, Texas-based operation, responsible for 70% of Tadpole sales last year, said the reshuffle is designed to take the company back into the black for the remainder of the year. Burns, who under previous president Geoff Burr was director of operations, will report directly to Tadpole’s chief executive, George Grey. Reporting into Burns will be newly promoted Deanne Curran, previously in charge of channel sales as vice-president of sales and marketing; Lloyd Bishop, previously sales manager of embedded processing as director of the OEM Business Group and Gerry Bula to the newly-created post vice-president of finance and chief financial officer.
