T-Mobile has announced that it will launch T-Mobile G1 in Germany in February this year. T-Mobile G1 uses the Android operating system and is claimed to allow high-speed internet surfing, supporting Google services such as Google Maps and Google Mail.
T-Mobile said that, following the successful market launch of this handset in the US and the UK, the company is now launching the T-Mobile G1 in Germany – as well as Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and the Netherlands.
The new handset is claimed to provide a direct access to Google Search and to third-party applications through Android Market. The handset has built-in GPS capability, HSDPA for mobile bandwidths of up to 7.2Mbit/s, WLAN, a built-in compass and a five-row QWERTZ keyboard.
