T-Mobile USA has revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note will be available in its networks in the coming weeks.
The 5.3-inch smartphone-tablet hybrid leverages the carrier’s 4G (HSPA+ 42) network and will be powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and Samsung’s Premium Suite, offering a range of features like the S Pen, S Note, S Memo and Polaris Office.
With S Note, users can import and annotate a PDF file and convert dictated or handwritten memos to text with the Continual Voice Input and Handwriting-to-Text features.
Using S Memo, Galaxy Note users have access to creating a typewritten, handwritten or voice dictated memo; researching information during creation; and adding an image, the company said.
T-Mobile USA product management vice president Andrew Morrison said, "With the unique and highly innovative Galaxy Note in our lineup, we are even better equipped to help our customers strike the perfect balance as they juggle both professional and personal activities."
T-Mobile said the Galaxy Note also has the Samsung Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) designation, which means it has a full suite of enterprise-ready features and capabilities, including IT policy support for top-tier mobile device management (MDM) providers, on-device AES256-bit encryption, enhanced support for Microsoft Exchange, as well as integrated support for a range of virtual private network (VPN) solutions.
Wi-Fi Calling capabilities will also be included and the T-Mobile 4G Pro App Pack, an aggregation of key applications, such as Dropbox, Evernote, Square, TripIt, CamScanner and LinkedIn, that can help download business-related applications.
The Samsung Galaxy Note sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Processor with 1.5 Ghz Dual-Core CPUs, an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera and 2,500mAh battery.
