T-Mobile US and Facebook offer free wireless access to GoSmart Mobile users

GoSmart Mobile prepaid wireless users can freely access Facebook and Facebook Messenger from January 2014.

By CBR Staff Writer

T-Mobile US has entered into a collaboration with Facebook to offer all of its GoSmart Mobile prepaid wireless users free access to Facebook and Facebook Messenger.

This will enable GoSmart Mobile users to log-on from a browser or the Facebook application on their compatible phone to access services of the social media site beginning from January.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Facebook has gone on record to state that almost half of its social media site users access it from their mobile phones.

T-Mobile’s GoSmart Mobile brand senior VP, Doug Chartier, said their customers like their brand as it is a simple and budget-friendly.

New users can activate this service by buying a GoSmart Mobile SIM kit for $8. They can then install it in their GSM compatible, unlocked phones or either buy a phone from GoSmart.
