SYTEK CUTS WORKFORCE BY 14% – BUT EXPECTS SEVERAL NEW PRODUCTS SOON

By CBR Staff Writer

Sytek Inc, Mountain View, California still hasn’t recovered from loss of its major OEM contract from IBM for local area network boards, and last week cut its workforce by 14%, saying that it was reorienting the company to focus on its traditional end-user customer base; on the upside, the company says that it will soon be introducing several new products which will significantly enhance and augment Sytek’s current offerings, as well as expand our product lines into new media and protocols, Sytek said.
