Luton, Bedfordshire based Systems Reliability Plc, which manufactures computerised telephone management systems, has acquired Bowes Electronics Ltd of Milton Keynes. The company employs 200 people in the manufacture of jigs and software for automatic test equipment and has production facilities for the manufacture of printed circuit boards. Details of the acquisition have not been released but we know Bowes Electronics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hillsdown Holdings Plc, which also has a 30% stake in Systems Reliability. Management at Systems Reliability says it will transfer its own printed circuit board manufacturing to Milton Keynes and expand existing operations at Luton. Bowes Electronics says it plans to expand its printed circuit board manufacturing and will undertake outside work independently of Systems Reliability.
