System Software Associates Inc’s European arm, based in Frimley, Surrey, has taken a minority shareholding in Acclaim Group Ltd, the Nuneaton-based supply chain software company. The move consolidates a six-year relationship – Acclaim was SSA’s first UK affiliate. Acclaim specialises in implementing SSA’s Business Planning & Control System/Advanced Solution, in the automotive and other high volume component industries and consumer packaged goods markets. Acclaim’s two specialist products, Repetitive Supplier Schedules and Repetitive Customer Schedules, are fully integrated with BPCS/AS. The company, hereafter SSA-Acclaim, aims to double turnover within two years, open a new office in the north of England, expand existing operations in Nuneaton and Surrey and increase staff numbers to 120 from 75 within the next three years.
