SYSKONNECT LAUNCHES RANGE OF FDDI ADAPTORS

By CBR Staff Writer

San Jose, California-based SysKonnect Inc has announced the SK-NET FDDI-PCI range which, as the name suggests, is a family of FDDI adaptors for the PCI bus. For server applications, the firm offers the Single Attach Station SK-NET FDDI-FP adaptor for fibre connections, and the Dual Attach Station, DAS, SK-NET FDDI-LP adaptor, for direct integration of servers into the FDDI double ring. The latter will offer Dual Attach Station functions on a single board, said SysKonnect, resulting in only one PCI slot being required for network integration. The adaptors, which ship from next month, will come with drivers for NetWare 4.1 and 3.12, and for Windows NT. Pricing is not yet decided.
