Vigilys weaves together data from various public safety and security systems to create a real-time web based, collaborative environment that facilitates improved decision-making, courses of action, and resource management. Under a contract with Delco, Vigilys was deployed in the County 911 Center and police and fire agencies of three townships: Tinicum, Newtown and Brookhaven.
Michael Green, district attorney of Delaware County, said: The results of the exercise using Vigilys demonstrate the system provides a valuable tool for coordinating emergency response to critical incidents. Improving law enforcement and fire service capabilities has been a long-standing priority of Delaware County. We are always looking for innovative ways to enhance our ability to serve and protect the public.
