Syntellect, a provider of contact centre and self-service technology, has unveiled a Communications Portal (SCP) 8.0, which is the new release of its PBX independent, an open and standards-based complete IP voice portal.

The company said that the new communications portal reduces the time, cost and complexity of deploying voice and IP communications offerings.

The SCP 8.0 combines voice, video, SMS, and email messaging with comprehensive support for traditional voice communication, providing a multi-modal portal that enables organisations to deploy all of their communication applications on a single, cost-effective platform.

The new communications portal comes with more than 20 new features, and functions to this release is an updated reporting subsystem, which is designed to provide ease of use, custom report creation and value-focused management and statistical data.

SCP 8.0 introduces new functionality that enables the unification of Syntellect’s Customer Interaction Management (CIM) contact centre offering with the IVR features of SCP.
