Synstar Secures Outsourcing Contracts Worth £75m

COMPANY PRESS RELEASE: Synstar has signed two new outsourcing contracts and substantially extended the scope and value of two more. Together, the value of the contracts is circa £75m.

By CBR Staff Writer

CSC, a leading global IT outsourcing company, has granted Synstar a significant multi-million pound contract extension, over a four year period. Synstar has been CSC’s preferred European maintenance supplier since 1994 and operates in a pan-European capacity for both CSC and its customers. Synstar provides IT support services and personnel both on-site, at customer premises and mobile.

ITNET, a leading supplier of IT and business process service solutions, has renewed its contract with Synstar for a further 3 years to provide hardware maintenance and business continuity services to its expanding base of blue chip customers. Synstar is ITNET’s preferred European partner for IT services, and rapid expansion is anticipated for the contract.

Vertex Data Science Ltd (Vertex) has appointed Synstar to be responsible for all its PC computer equipment, including printing and software rebuilds. This covers around 8,000 users. Vertex specialises in Business Process Operations Outsourcing and is part of the United Utilities Group.

Amey Comax Ltd, the UK’s third largest UK Facilities Outsourcer, has appointed Synstar for desktop and mid-range hardware maintenance and software support for multiple sites across the UK and in excess of 10,000 users.

The individual value of these contracts is not disclosed.

Richard Ferré, Chief Executive Officer, Synstar said:

Our independence from any one computer manufacturer, our pan-European reach and our strong service culture combine to make us a natural Service Provider for IT outsourcers. Partnerships of this nature are an increasingly important ingredient in the development of our business.
