Through the agreement, Synstar is launching a unique service Synstar Facility Restoration that will provide its customers with disaster management services to quickly and effectively restore a company’s permanent site and facilities. In the event of a disaster, an experienced BELFOR damage assessment engineer will arrive at the scene to compile a report that will form the basis of the customer’s insurance claim.

Subscribers to the service will also be automatically entitled to a BELFOR Facility Survey, which highlights the main areas of exposure, key response information, and areas for priority restoration. Combining this with an IT-based site survey carried out by Synstar’s own consultants, companies will be able to more effectively build their own individual crisis management plan.

Commented Dave Dignam, business development director of business continuity at Synstar: We are always looking at innovative ways to improve the service we offer our customers. By joining forces with BELFOR UK, we are able to provide a total solution that will recover and restore a company’s physical operations, not just its IT functions. The exclusivity of the relationship means that no other business continuity provider will be better placed to offer this complete service.

Neal Courtney, director at BELFOR UK said: More companies are realising the importance of effective disaster planning and the need to restore key assets and core operating processes as quickly as possible in the event of a crisis. With a combined experience of over 45 years in recovering real-life disasters between them, Synstar and BELFOR consultants can help companies build a highly effective plan that will help minimise any disruption to their critical business functions should the unthinkable happen.
