By CBR Staff Writer

SynOptics Communications Inc, Santa Clara has announced a new low-end management system for Ethernet local area networks and a new price for its mid-range LattisNet Manager for MS-DOS management application. Lattis EZ-View costs $700 per licence and is designed to give small businesses and branch offices of larger organisations a low-cost means to use SynOptics intelligent hubs for basic network management such as port partitioning and performance monitoring. It can be run from any machine running Windows 3.1 on Ethernet networks, including those running under NetWare 3.11. LattisNet Manager for MS-DOS has been cut to $3,500 from $5,500 and the Basic Network Management is discontinued.
