Synergenix’ mophun platform, which is a software solution designed to allow gaming on mobile phones, is already installed on Sony Ericsson’s T300 handset and will also be available on the forthcoming T310 and T610 devices. Over 50 games are currently available for the platform.
When combined with Terraplay’s MOVE, a high quality network technology designed for mobile multiplayer gaming which supports all download enabled mobile devices, the two technologies allow the easy creation of multiplayer titles for mobile phones. The five multiplayer games being initially launched using the technologies are Five Stones, Synergenix Rally, No Refuge, Warships and Minigolf.
Both companies supply tools and SDKs for their technologies to developers free of charge.
It is exciting to cooperate with Terraplay on solutions for mobile multiplayer games, enthused Synergenix CEO Per Osterberg. Terraplay’s networking platform solution is powerful, scalable and highly adaptable handling many game genres and devices. Terraplay MOVE and Synergenix mophun can together offer mobile multiplayer solutions that can be integrated into all phones and handheld computers enabling gamers to play each other independent of mobile device type or operator.
For anyone going along to this year’s CeBIT show, which opened its doors today, the multiplayer MOVE and mophun titles will be on display on the Sony Ericsson booth in hall 26 of the massive technology show.
