UK-based Synchronica, a developer of mobile e-mail and synchronization services, has won two expansion orders with a combined value of $645,000 from a mobile operator in Russia.
According to Synchronica, the orders follow the promotion, including a TV advertising campaign, of the Synchronica Mobile Gateway service by the operator, which has witnessed an increase in demand for its mobile e-mail and synchronization services.
Importantly, take up of these services has been seen across all levels of its subscriber base, from consumers using basic handsets, to the higher-end smartphone prosumers, said Synchronica.
Carsten Brinkschulte, CEO of Synchronica, said: This order further demonstrates that there is a very real market for Mobile Gateway across Russia, the CIS and eastern Europe. Our solution provides a key differentiator to operators in highly competitive markets, and we see our customers expanding quickly and publicizing their use of mobile e-mail in order to protect their subscriber base while generating additional revenues.
Earlier in February, Entel PCS has gone live with its mass market push email service based on Synchronica Mobile Gateway. The service allows Chilean consumers and prosumers to experience an email service on their existing handsets.
