The Symmetric Inc subsidiary of STB Systems Inc, Richardson, Texas, has announced its Glyder Max-2 multimedia accelerator board for customers that want ‘no-compromise’ two- and three- dimensional video acceleration. Glyder Max-2 enables 1 million polygon per second 3D performance and has integrated geometry set-up combined with accelerated full motion video, including MPEG-2 format and DVD video stream support. The 8Mb configuration of Glyder for Pentium and Alpha workstations is shipping at a single unit price of $380.
