The management shakeout at Symbolics Inc continues, and Russell Noftsker, who resigned as chief executive earlier this month (CI No 861), has now resigned his remaining posts as chairman and a director: he is going back to California from Symbolics’ Cambridge, Massachusetts base to start a company that will market a computer-aided design system developed by Symbolics; Ronald Derry, vice-president of operations, becomes acting president and chief executive pending appointment of a permanent one.
