Sykes Q3 revenues up 44% to $307m

Operating income decreased by 38% to $13m in Q3 2010

Sykes has reported revenue of $307m for the third quarter of 2010, up 44% compared to $213.5m from a year earlier quarter.

The company posted an operating income of $13.1m for the third quarter of 2010, a decrease of 38% compared to $21m for the same quarter previous year.

For the quarter ended 30 September 2010, the net income and diluted earnings per share decreased to $14m and $0.29, compared to a net income of $19m and diluted earnings per share of $0.46 for the same quarter last year.

Geographically, Americas revenue increased by 66% to $254m compared to $153m from a year ago quarter while revenue from EMEA decreased by 13% to $53m from $61m.

The company expects revenue of $307m to $310m for the fourth quarter of 2010 and diluted earning per share of $0.22 to $0.25.
