Sydney Communications Inc, the Aldershot, Hampshire subsidiary of Canada’s Sydney Development Corp, is leading a consortium of European companies and universities to bid for Esprit II funding for a 200 man-year research and development project in integrated information services, including Teleconferencing, Telecomputing, Teleshopping, Telebanking, Transaction Management and Electronic Publishing: a key objective is the development of a proposal for a Computer-Aided Acquisition Logistics Support System; other members include GEC Plessey Telecommunications and Thorn EMI.
