The City Map service displays map sections showing the current location of the mobile phone and its user, based on data from the mobile network and cartographical data. The service will then send a list of street names which the user can pick from to provide a more precise location fix.
The Route Planner service gives information on how to get from one place to another, either on foot or by car. The start and end addresses can be freely inputted by the user or they can select to start from their current position, using the positioning service. The route can then be seen as an overview map on the handset’s display.
