SWIFT has launched Easy Exceptions and Investigations, an end-to-end solution. This is expected to increase the productivity of financial institutions and automate the management of payments-related enquiries.

Reportedly, the solution includes registration to the SWIFT Exceptions and Investigations service, a case management application provided by a third-party vendor and access to online training. It has said that in the first release, the case management application is provided by Expertus.

The company claimed that its Exceptions and Investigations service supports straight-through processing of payments related enquiries through XML standards, four workflows and a rule book. It has added that the case management application is easy to install, runs in a user or automated mode, is integrated with Alliance Access, and handles both XML and FIN standards.

Luc Meurant, head of banking, supply chain and corporate markets, SWIFT, said: “The adoption of the new XML enquiry messages will ultimately benefit the entire industry. With Easy Exceptions and Investigations, we provide our customers a cost effective solution for a smooth implementation.”

SWIFT is a member-owned cooperative that provides the communications platform, products and services to connect over 8,500 banking organisations, securities institutions and corporate customers in more than 200 countries.
