Swett & Crawford Licenses AQS Access

To accommodate several carriers on a single system

By CBR Staff Writer

AQS, a provider of policy administration systems for property/casualty insurance, has announced that Swett & Crawford, an insurance intermediaries, has licensed AQS Access for its commercial property/casualty business.

Terri Snell, chief administrative officer of Swett & Crawford, said: We’ve been searching for a solution that would allow us to accommodate several carriers on a single system. We’d faced challenges; but with AQS Access, we expect to meet this objective and have greater self-development flexibility. And we’re able to bring the product management in-house, which is what our goal has always been.

AQS Access is a policy administration system with complete rate-quote, underwriting, and policy-management capabilities for all property/casualty lines, including self-service options for product configuration. It integrates ISO Rating Service and packages ISO’s loss costs, rules, and policy forms information.

Chris Mitchell, CIO of Swett & Crawford, said: The architecture of AQS Access allows us to integrate with multiple technology platforms within Swett, as well as those of our business partners.
