The Swedish government will next month propose privatizing national telephone operator Telia AB, Dagens Politik reports. It says the government has to privatize the phone company because the latter needs a capital injection of some $675m over the next few years and the government can’t find the money. The flotation will be in the fall at the earliest and the government will retain a majority stake in it.
