The Congleton, UK-based filtering vendor announced that Omniva’s Policy Server mail policy software is now certified and interoperable with SurfControl’s E-mail Filter. The combined solution is being aimed at financial services firms that need to monitor emails to in order to comply with regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
It, along with new Securities and Exchange Commission and NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers) rules, compel financial services firms to take aggressive steps to monitor the usage of corporate messaging systems.
The combined solution incorporates the content filtering technology of SurfControl’s E-mail Filter as well as the policy enforcement and auditing technologies of Omniva’s Policy Manager.
