Having completed acquisition of SuperCads Inc, Santa Clara, California for 2m shares, Automatix Inc, reckons that it has completed its transition from a robotics and vision systems company to a full service supplier of strategic manufacturing technologies: SuperCads has developed and sells a full functionality three-dimensional computer-aided design package for mechanical design and drafting that runs on the IBM AT, Compaq DeskPro 386 and Sun and Silicon Graphics workstations; having also just completed a $4m equity financing, Automatix believes it now has one of the best balance sheets in the business.
